About
Help My Village Kids, an all volunteer non-profit registered in the state of Utah, wants to bring books and opportunity to the children of Gog, Ethiopia. HMVK believes that providing children who are eager to learn and hungry to read with the tools they need to obtain a good education not only brightens and expands these children’s futures but the future of their families and their entire communities.
Help My Village Kids, in partnership with Books for Africa, a non-profit organization whose mission is to end the book famine in Africa, will ship a 40ft sea container carrying 22,000 donated primary and secondary school books to the capital city of Addis Ababa. HMVK will transport all the books to the town of Gog in western Ethiopia where they will be distributed between two existing schools.
In the future, Help My Village Kids intends to facilitate the improvement of both existing school buildings as well as the building of a community library in the town of Gog, Ethiopia.
